11 Guinness World Records That Will (Probably) Never Be Broken
Some world records may be easy to beat, others, not so much. But these records will, most likely, stand the test of time. For one, not very many people could consume non-food objects without a serious medical complication. And only one man in recorded history has sprinted at 37 km/h (23 mph). Let's have a look at some of the Guinness World Records that will, most likely, never be broken.
Tallest Man Ever

Prior to his death in 1940, Robert Pershing Wadlow measured 8 feet 11 inches tall. His height was caused by his pituitary gland, which was abnormally shaped, leading to excessive growth hormones in his system. He also needed crutches and a cane to walk, and had to eat around 8,000 calories a day, which is 3 times the amount recommended for the average adult male. And to top it all off, he wore a size 23 US shoe.
Fastest Man Ever

Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt broke the 100-meter dash record in 2009, running the distance (about the length of a football field) in an astonishing 9.58 seconds. By comparison, American Olympian Jesse Owens completed this distance in 10.3 seconds at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany. Scientists say that Bolt’s mix of height, stride length, and speed is nearly impossible to replicate. Even after almost 20 years, no one has ever come close to beating the record set by Bolt.
Strongest Man Ever

If you’re into this type of thing, names like Eddie “The Beast” Hall and Brian Shaw come to mind. And even though both men have held the title of “World’s Strongest Man,” another man named Paul Anderson holds the record for the strongest human ever. His professional name was “the wonder of nature,” and it’s easy to see why. Anderson back lifted a staggering 6,270 pounds in 1957, which is equivalent to lifting a car with people inside.
Heaviest Weight Supported by a Human Tongue

Yes, this is, in fact, a real record. The record holder is named Thomas Blackthorne, who lifted 27 pounds only using his tongue. Having trained for six years to hold the weight for 5 seconds, his tongue was pierced with a hook that carried four weights, and he broke the record in 2004 without any other physical harm.
Most Lawsuits Filed

If you can believe it, one man has filed over 4,000 lawsuits. Jonathan Lee Riches has filed suits against Bill Gates, Pope Benedict XVI, and even fictional characters, among many others. In fact, when he won this record, he sued Guinness World Records. Now serving time for wire fraud, the record to his name still stands.
Most Beer Ever Consumed by One Person in One Sitting

Famed French wrestler André the Giant once drank 119 cans of beer (nearly 15 gallons) in only 6 hours at a bar in Pennsylvania in 1976. After he passed out, the bar’s staff were unable to move him, so they put a piano cover over him to let him sleep. Though this record is not held in the Guinness Book of World Records, the feat is, to this day, unmatched.
Highest-Grossing Movie of All Time

While Avengers: Endgame (2019) and Avatar (2009) went head-to-head for the number one spot, if we count inflation, Gone with the Wind (1939) surpasses both by a long shot. Adjusted for inflation, the 1939 classic film brought in $3.4 billion. Avatar sold 78 million tickets, while Gone with the Wind sold 255.7 million
Strangest Diet

The French can be a peculiar bunch, but one of the weirdest things to ever come from France was Michel Lotito, known in French as “Monsieur Mangetout,” which means “Mister Eats All.” How did he earn this name? Well, he had a severe case of a condition called “pica,” which allowed him to crave, eat, and digest non-food objects, like metal. His condition was so extreme that he ate things like metal, glass, rubber, and even an entire Cessna 150 airplane, piece by piece over the course of two years. My only question to all of this is “does it hurt going out the other end?”
Heaviest Aircraft Pulled by One Man

Speaking of records involving planes, we have this record which was accomplished by Canadian strongman Kevin Fast. Fast holds several weight-involved records, including heaviest truck pulled 100 feet in 2008 (the truck in question weighed over 63 tons). But his most famous record, accomplished in 2009, was when he single-handedly pulled a Boeing CC-177 Globemaster III 8.8 meters (28 ft 10.46 in) in 1 minute and 16 seconds. The Globemaster weighed 188.83 metric tons.
Longest Time Without Sleep (Human)

In 1964, a man named Randy Gardner stayed awake for an astonishing 11 days and 20 minutes during a scientific experiment. After the experiment, scientists deemed the experiment too dangerous to try again, meaning Dandy’s record will likely remain forever.
Largest Living Cat

Hercules the Liger is a hybrid between a male lion and a female tiger. Hercules weighs around 900 pounds and stands over 11 feet long. He lives at Myrtle Beach Safari in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is so big that he can easily eat hundreds of pounds of meat in a single meal.
